Dance has always been my sanctuary—a daily source of catharsis, inspiration, and truth. I studied Interdisciplinary Arts to explore the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits of movement, and later felt called to pursue my own self-directed path instead of completing a master’s in somatic psychology. Over the last 20 years, my curiosity has led me through countless trainings—yoga, fitness, energy work, massage, herbalism, doula studies, Yoga Nidra, anti-racist work, and more—and through the world itself, traveling to over 30 countries to learn through cross-cultural experience. These inner and outer journeys clarified my calling: to help people awaken the wisdom, wildness, and freedom of their essence through the body.
For the past 15 years, I’ve devoted myself to creating spaces for embodied presence, compassion, and connection. What began as a personal practice grew into Qoya Inspired Movement, with hundreds of thousands of videos viewed, tens of thousands of participants, and teachers in 20 countries. My prayer is that Qoya continues to support people in coming home to their bodies, receiving their own guidance, and offering their unique gifts to a more equitable world. In times of deep change, I believe in the power of embodiment to soothe the nervous system, build courage, and help us act from the best parts of ourselves. I’m here because movement still lights the way—and because I believe so much more is possible when we remember who we truly are.
