Melissa Ifill is a licensed clinical social worker, emotional wellness coach, and spiritual practitioner who specializes in supporting Black women and wellness-entrepreneurs on their healing and empowerment journeys. She holds a B.A. in Public Affairs, a Master’s in Social Work, and an advanced certificate in Women’s Studies from Syracuse University. Over more than 20 years of work in therapy, coaching, and community support, she has integrated clinical practices with holistic healing modalities such as trauma-conscious yoga, Reiki, sound healing, breathwork — and brings deep reverence for ancestral/spiritual wisdom to her work.
As founder and lead facilitator of Reflecting Joy (and founder of her own coaching practice), Melissa creates sacred spaces for healing, self-discovery and transformation. Through therapy, coaching, intensives and retreats (for example the “Sanctuary” retreats), she supports women in healing emotional wounds, reclaiming their power, and stepping into their truth — helping them rewrite their stories and align their lives with purpose, freedom, and joy.
Melissa is deeply committed to creating inclusive, safe, and empowering environments where her clients and community feel seen, heard, and supported. She combines professional training, compassionate presence, and spiritual grounding — guiding clients to heal from trauma, build internal safety, and rediscover their worth and inner wisdom.
