Elizabeth’s wellness journey began in 2015, when she fell in love with Powerlifting and CrossFit. It was within this journey that she felt the effects of excluding rest, mobility and recovery into her training. Yoga was first introduced as merely a means to stretch, increase flexibility and deter from injury, but in 2019 when a traumatic life event and a massive injury turned her world upside down, she found that she could not powerlift her way through the trauma and turned to the deeper aspects of yoga, learning to turn inward and connect the mind and body. Yoga has not only transformed her physical abilities, but also her mental and emotional outlook as well. Feeling she could spread this wellness awareness to other athletes or those who have suffered injuries and trauma, she achieved her 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher training with Stephanie Mitchell at the Yoga and Ayurveda Center with additional certifications in Chair Yoga and Restorative Yoga. Elizabeth has also achieved her 100hr Meditation Teaching Training from Nikolai Manek at Yogamu. She is currently working to complete her 300hr RYT & Ayurveda Certification.
